JSON Viewer

Inspect JSON as a structured tree, search keys and values, and understand nested data clearly.

How to use

  1. Paste JSON, choose a local .json file, or load the built-in sample.
  2. If the JSON is invalid, use the message and location shown to find and fix the problem.
  3. Expand or collapse objects and arrays to explore the structure.
  4. Search for a key or value; select a result to jump straight to it in the tree.

Worked example

Load the built-in sample to see a small project record: a name, a version number, a boolean, a null, a list of tags and a nested object. Try searching for "tags" to see a key match, or "sample" to see a value match inside the array.

Limitations

  • If the source has duplicate object keys, only the last one is kept when it is parsed; JSON Viewer does not detect or warn about duplicates.
  • Object keys that look like array indices (for example "2") are shown in numeric order, matching standard JavaScript behaviour, even if the source used a different order.
  • Very large integers, outside JavaScript's safe integer range, may lose precision; treat those values as approximate rather than exact.
  • There is no copy or export action yet.

Privacy and accessibility

Privacy

Your JSON stays on this device during normal use. MeaningKit does not intentionally send source content, filenames or search queries to its servers for processing. Read the privacy page.

Accessibility

The tree is built from nested lists and buttons that work with a keyboard, with no custom tree widget; selecting a search result moves focus to the matching row. Read the accessibility page.
