CSV Viewer
Open CSV or TSV data as rows and columns and check how the file is structured.
Processed locally in your browser. Your CSV or TSV is processed on this device for CSV Viewer's core task and is not uploaded to MeaningKit's server.
No CSV or TSV yet.
How to use
- Paste CSV or TSV, choose a local .csv or .tsv file, or load the built-in sample.
- Check the delimiter and header-row settings, and change them if the table looks wrong.
- Read the table; a row with fewer or more fields than expected is marked, and a duplicate column header is marked too.
- Search headers and cell values; select a result to jump straight to it in the table.
Worked example
Load the built-in sample to see a small project list: a header row, a numeric-looking value kept as text, a quoted field containing a comma, and an empty field. Try searching for "active" to see matching cell values.
Limitations
- Every cell is kept as plain text; CSV Viewer never guesses at numbers, booleans or dates.
- Only comma and tab delimiters are supported; a source using another delimiter is reported as unsupported rather than guessed at.
- A row with fewer fields than the table's other rows shows the missing trailing fields as explicitly missing, not as empty text.
- A row with more fields than the table's other rows keeps and shows every extra field rather than dropping them.
- Duplicate column headers are kept as separate columns and clearly marked, not silently renamed or merged.
- A source with a malformed quoted field is reported as invalid rather than guessed at.
- Header detection is never automatic; the Header row control always reflects exactly what you chose.
- There is no spreadsheet editing, formula evaluation or export yet.
Privacy and accessibility
Privacy
Your CSV or TSV stays on this device during normal use. MeaningKit does not intentionally send source content, filenames or search queries to its servers for processing. Read the privacy page.
Accessibility
The table is a real HTML table with column headers, so screen readers can announce each cell in context; choosing a search result moves keyboard focus straight to the matching header or cell. Read the accessibility page.
